Bathroom exceptional
The room was very clean and had no unpleasant smell as some places do. We were very surprised to come back from a day of fun and adventure to find the room had been straightened and the bed made, fresh towels were supplied. We haven't experiences service like that forever! Great place to stay!
Very friendly staff
The room was clean and quiet, the newly installed ADA shower very good, although while we figured out the hot-cold arrangement, we could not figure out how to increase-decrease the water pressure. On the other side, tho, Oak-Mar does not provide breakfast at all, not even an in-room coffee maker, with the room rental. The motel is combined with a dinner which opens at 8 am. Many travelers are on the road before 8 and certainly do not want to go into a dinner to have breakfast at 8, unable to hit the road before 9 am. But this appears to be their plan, to push people who stay in the motel rooms into the dinner for morning coffee and more.

Location. Received a friendly email and later a phone call to confirm arrival to make my late arrival more convenient.
Diner on site has excellent breakfast and can get coffee to go. Renovated room with updated bathroom. Owner is nice and accommodating to requests. Hanging flower baskets are a nice touch. Would stay here again.
Convenient location, friendly staff
I have been coming to Oakland area for some 60+ years and it's the first time I ever paid to stay and I couldn't wait to stay there. I never spent much time walking in Oakland and I enjoyed the heck out of that!! Great location for exploring the town. The diner connected with Oak-Mark is awesome and the breakfast gives you a great start!

Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Was a very pleasant stay, will definitely stay here again. If you have time, check out the diner. Best omelet I've had in a while.
Mattress was very comfortable. Just the right amount of blankets and bedspread for the temperatures. The room was clean. The location is very easy to find and convenient.

Oak Mar Motel is located about 1/4 from Oakland, MD. on Route219. We have stayed here many times and it seems better each time. The staff is wonderful. Very accommodating. Our room was very clean. We requested a mobility challenged room on the 1st floor. Spacious room with walk-in shower, double beds, mini fridge, microwave. Beds and pillows were comfortable. AC was easily adjustable. Additional, Third St. Diner is on 1st floor of Motel. Very good home cooked food. Don't miss the dessert case. You should order 1 of each!! If you're travelling and need a place to stay, give Oak Mar your business. Youll Love it. We'll be back soon!!
